The novelist Victor Hugo visited Montreuil-sur-Mer in 1837. Few years after he placed the first part of his famous novel ‘Les Misérables’ inside the fortified town.
500 volunteers pay tribute to this novel by slipping into their forerunners and characters’ costumes to play inside the ‘Sound and Light’ show. A reference spectacle that mixes fiction with reality - a human story inside the mysterious setting of the Citadel.
‘Les Misérables’ will take place inside the Citadel for 8 dates: the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th of July & the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of August 2019.
